Year 11 Homework Friday 27th October
Deadline : Friday 3rd November
Task 1: Primary source photos which relate to your project theme : Out of Place/ Close-up/ Architecture.
Take photos of objects which you need for your observation drawings / experimenting with materials/ techniques. Print to a good standard (not out of focus!!).
Task 2: Continue your observation studies of primary sources, exploring a range of materials and techniques. WORK ON APPROPRIATE PAPER TO MATERIALS SELECTED!
Remember, the observations/ experimentations (AO2, AO3) you do now will be developed into compositions which will further develop into your personal response (AO4) which will be created in you Fine Art mock exam on Thursday 7th December and Friday 8th December. (5 WEEKS TIME!!!!)

Task: Ensure Artist Analysis 1 and 2 are complete and presented in sketchbook. These will be assessed after half-term where you will be marked for Assessment Objective 1 using Assessment Criteria.(Marked out of 24).
We will then have 4 weeks to produce observational studies and compositional planning which will be developed into Assessment Objective 4 (personal response) which will take place in your 10 Hour mock on Thursday 7th December and Friday 8th December.
In the last 2 weeks of term we will present all remaining work in sketchbooks. (You will not be allowed to work on your personal response).
Component 1 sketchbooks will be handed in for moderation on Friday 12th January, 2018. YOU WILL NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THESE AFTER THIS DATE, MARKS GIVEN ARE FINAL!!

TASK:
1) LOOK AT POWERPOINT.
2)PICK AN ARTIST WHO WORKS IN EITHER WATERCOLOURS OR ACRYLIC PAINT AND PRODUCES STUDIES OF NATURAL FORMS.
3) PRINT OFF ONE IMAGE A5 WHICH YOU WILL BE PAINTING FROM OBSERVATION IN CLASS.
4) PRINT OFF SMALLER EXAMPLES OF ADDITIONAL STUDIES OF NATURAL FORMS BY SAME ARTIST.
5) PRODUCE A ROUGH DRAFT ANALYSIS ON CHOSEN ARTIST AND IMAGE. USE WRITING FRAME/ PAGE 9 OF HANDBOOK.THIS WILL BE MARKED ON THE 23RD OCTOBER.
